Why we built this
Because most Indian salary tools are either wrong, ad-stuffed, or ask you to hand over your data.
Crores of Indian salaried professionals don't understand their own payslip. They don't know whether their PF is being deducted correctly, whether their HRA exemption is being applied, or whether the CTC on their offer letter is actually what it seems.
Existing tools either have outdated tax constants, wrong PF calculations, or lock basic features behind paywalls and email sign-ups. And almost all of them send your salary data to their servers — data that should be nobody else's business.
SalaryTruth is built differently: everything runs in your browser using JavaScript. There is no backend server. We use PDF.js for local PDF reading and Tesseract.js for on-device OCR. When you close the tab, your data is gone. No account needed. No email required.
